So nothing should be done to improve anything.

There is so much wrong with what you are saying. Your entire fabric of social thought is woven with misconceptions, errors, and arrogance.

Can’t do this today again. There are plenty people out there this very minute in whatever town you live that can’t bootstrap themselves. Put on your Superlib cape and leotards and go save them. You will simply teach them that they don’t have to help themselves. You will relegate them to at least one more day of victimhood and dependence. But YOU will feel better.

Statements like that erase ALL credibility. No point in even reading the rest of what will clearly be ridiculous hyper-partisan drooling drivel.

DROOLING.

We have a fundamental difference in how we view people. You are arguing that lack of ennui will turn people into lazy good for nothings. I am arguing that we give people the education and support they will try to make something of Themselves and that just because something is free it doesn’t take away everyone’s ennui

There is a point that hardships often makes people work harder. For example mellenials as a generation work harder because many of them graduated or grew up in a horrible job market. This however does not preclude the opposite. That those who are given a chance at a free education at any skiƱl, will not utilize those kills

You clearly view people as weak and that’s just sad.

They are not my preconceived notions.
They come partly from my reading of the origins of your progressive liberal thought.

The epitome of arrogance is the idea that people like you can create a better universe and indeed a better man than was created before.

What makes people like you believe that is beyond me. But the idea is old, ancient, recurring, and - when alloyed with politics - destructive.

yes, they never seem to send a bus to the homeless camps to invite them to their properties. No open borders for rich leftist, that’s for the poor.;

It’s now the epitome of arrogance to think we can make the world a better place.

There you have it folks. The hive mind has spoken. Stop trying.

Thank you. I mean that. You pointed out an actual problem with hard core beliefs

Specifically there is a huge problem with left wing ideology that it must help everyone. It is also a misconception that all of libs want to help everyone. Not everyone will succeed due to fee education, not everyone uses a safety net to make themselves better. That does not mean that it should not be used to make society better.

What is it with all of the billionaires?

Stop yourself. You are like the worst of the libs now… talking backwards, denying my own words and replacing them with ones that are easier for you to refute.

The whole concept of pulling oneself up by the bootstraps is built on the premise that people are NOT inherently weak. They are strong when they have take responsibility for themselves. They are made weak when the natural drive to survive and succeed is emasculated with the knife of handouts on the alter of progressive liberalism.

How do you explain giving farmers 16B for doing nothing?

Fine. I won’t build straw men out of your points.

That being said the whole premise of boot strapping is false and is based on a belief that human nature is only what you believe human nature to be.

Forced socialism is a problem because it stifles innovation. It makes people less Driven. I agree But not all programs that are socialist in nature drive people to laziness.

Did that. If you want to know, research and read my posts before.

So all those farmers are weaker now?

How about those corps who were granted SALT exemptions while we strong citizens had that taken away from us?

Yeah, I’m not gonna do that. If you don’t want to tell me directly I’ll just assume you have some convoluted ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  ella-nation about why THOSE people on Govt. assistance are still virtuous and good, while the OTHEr people on Govt. assistance have been made week and pathetic.

And you know, you’ll pretend it’s not really because of the reason in heart.

Not ā€œthatā€ bad still means it’s bad.

I’m a teacher. I’ll just barely crack 50k/year by the time I retire. My CoL isn’t super high, but I’ll never be able to support a family on that alone.

And look, I’m not complaining that much. I’d love to be paid more for the job I do-we all would. Of course I’m biased toward teaching, but teachers really are undercompensated for the time we are required to put in to do our jobs effectively.

Well, they traditionally vote for his political party. So it’s pretty much needed to keep them in line.

No that is not really a problem. Because time and unforeseen circumstances happen to us all. People are often born into circumstances where they are already wealthy or very poor
And the economic system that we have now does not really ever allow for an evening out giving people a chance.

Bankruptcy is not a solution as it counts against the person going forward and those that ā€œlost moneyā€ use it as justification to raise rates or prices to recover the profits they were already counting on.

but you get the summer off.

so asking for help makes people weak?
