“Climate goals.”
Calif voters voted for their legislature, though, so I guess they’re on board with this move. But because this legislation gets implemented at the refinery, the change will eventually spread across the country.

Of course, maybe I should have made the focus of the OP more about Calif’s war on driving. Courts just ruled that the new Calif law can stand, making it a ticketable offense to pick up your phone to look at the next GPS step on your phone.
Current average gas prices in Missouri are $2.84 per gallon.
Cheapest prices are in the Springfield area (major fuel and lubricant distribution area), averaging $2.45 per gallon.
Diesel fuel is $2.99 in my area, and it’s still $100 to fill my truck.
I find when I drive cross country, it’s best to hold off buying gas until you cross into Missouri. And to fill up again just before leaving.
Especially in the western half.
It’s really stupid how our landlocked state can be so full of cheap fuel and seafood while others with more go with less.
you can feel the global temperature dropping as we speak.
what idiots
Good grief, we are still sitting at $3.39, down from $3.59 last week.
Doesn’t seem fair at all.
Life isn’t fair, as they say.
I just sit and shake me head at the whole situation. I’ve never understood this state and their gas prices.
You might want to tell insurance and oil companies (and the US Military) it’s all a hoax.
About 4.49 here. Between state gas tax and state carbon fees.
Why are YOU libs forcing us to believe YOUR climate GODS?
Leftists are too ignorant to understand that heat gives life, and cold kills.
California has a 50 cent gas hike besides that. Something they intend to implement every year until they price people out of driving vehicles that use gasoline.
Holy crap. We’re 2.85 at the gas station I go to in NJ.
A convenience store in NJ called Wawa are making people pay for gas up front. Like they do in most states. But we don’t pump our own gas. So we usually pay at the end, not to begin with. They were saying this will affect people paying cash the most. No, It will affect people paying with cards the most. Because if you over pay with your card, you get cash back in change.
That could also be an easy way to avoid ATM fees.
Cool. More credit card points.
I’ll bet the WAWAs around there have had too many drive-offs. It’s probably worth the credit card fee to the business to pay on the overage. It takes a lot of credit card fees on little $1.75 overages to compensate for one $50 tankful driving off.
I just filled my mother’s tank and it was $2.59/gallon.
No…the mindset that turned San Francisco, one of our nation’s most beautiful cities into a giant outhouse has got everything all figured out. Just ask them.
They’re saying it is to give people a consistent experience if they travel. I think it’s more in line with what you said. People driving off.
I want to clarify one thing. I meant your change will come in the form of cash no matter what form of payment you use. I usually pay in cash, and I give them the exact amount. Now, if I had to go to a Wawa, I’ll just give them 50 bucks. They’ll give me my change. No problem for me. But I don’t get gas at Wawa because they are the highest prices by me.
