These are the discussions I really enjoy following. I can see both sides but ultimately it will end up with the SCOTUS.

Regardless of their decision It will be interesting to see how they rule and their rationale.

Homeowner insurance already covers injury due to accidents. No insurance company will cover negligent or deliberate actions that cause injury. The Ordinance is a sham.

Must be to cover all those “accidental shootings” that occurs outside the home.

Like when one gang banger drives by another gang banger and their weapons accidentally start firing at each other.

The rationale part will be simple enough: 1)-you can’t charge money to access a right, and 2)-requiring insurance for gun ownership does not comport with the history and traditions of this country.

How’s this working out for San Jose? They successfully seize all the firearms because of non-compliance? How’s that non profit doing?

Aren’t guns already subject to sales tax?

A violation of a right is not a justification for violations of rights.

SCOTUS is the constitution.

Why aren’t we hearing about how wonderful this bill is and how it’s raising millions of dollars for anti-gun programs?

That’s absurd.

   I suppose you think the Police are the law too.

Perhaps you have been watching too many old westerns where the Sheriff tells the bad guy “I’m the law in this town!” Judge, Jury and hangman too.

New Year! How’s that gun insurance and registration working out in San Jose?

How’s that non-profit doling out funds?

not even close.

I’m starting to think it was a stunt, or maybe they’re keeping it on the down low because they don’t think it can survive another lawsuit?

Allan has a knack for that.

I’m trying to find any updates on it at all… I’m not having any luck. All the articles are months or years old.

Same. I suspect their lawyers have told them it’s untenable.
