Trump submitted the form to declare with the FEC for the 2020 election ON INAUGURATION DAY. And he held his first campaign rally less than a month later.

By comparison, Obama didn’t declare with the FEC for 2012 until April of 2011.

Is that enough of a difference?

Cindy McCain says in this story she’s heard rumors that Trump won’t run for re-election. This despite the fact he’s been acting like a candidate since day one of his administration. This would make sense since his premature campaigning is really a display of his insecurity that he’d actually win a second term. I do think it’s very likely he won’t run, especially if, as the midterms showed, he thinks he might lose. And looking at the numbers, it’s a real possibility.

I do think it’s very likely he won’t run, especially if, as the midterms showed, he thinks he might lose. And looking at the numbers, it’s a real possibility.

GOP lost 38 seats in the House and gained 2 seats in the Senate.

In 1994, Clinton lost 54 House seats and 10 Senate seats and was reelected in 1996.

In 2010, Obama lost 63 House seats and 10 Senate seats and was reelected in 2012.

Please explain how the facts on the ground support you making this direct comparison.

So far several of you have pointed this fact out, but your hidden assumption is that the underlying facts in 1994 and 2010 are the same as in 2018…but not. one of you has provided a justifiction for this belief.
