Chris Matthews compared Bernie Sanders to Nazi Germany

Yes. That’s why I’m not hysterical.

Nor am I.

Some people are ticked…so what. I see their point…and shrug.

Mathews is a blowhard…has been since…forever.

Then why so passive-aggressive?

I’m not hysterical though the comparison was stupid.

What did he compare and why was it stupid?

Face it. Socialism is a scary prospect. I won’t vote for Sanders just to get rid of Trump. Sounds like neither will Chris Matthews

Chrissy has been throwing a hissy since 2016, no worries, he’ll keep his job.

There’s just nobody left in the democratic party he can have any more mangasm’s over and so he’s apoplectic and completely unhinged.

Has Bernie released his medical records or is it too soon?

Has Bloomberg released his taxes?

There’s nothing “scary” about Sanders’ platform. Besides, there’s the Senate and House to temper his policy push. This fear is unwarranted.

Bloomberg is being audited so he can’t release those taxes as much as he would like to.

Lame joke aside I would like to know just how often Bloomberg has been under audit.

An over/under with Trump on audit frequency.

The only similarity between Hitler and Bernie, both were Democratic Socialist. The socialism thing is a boogeyman term for a lot a people especially boomers and gen X’ers. What probably need to happen is folks need to know the differences between socialism, Marxism and communism because over the past 12 years people have labeled so-called liberals and a certain former president all 3. There is no way a person can be a socialist, Marxist and communist all at the same damn time. Read a book sometimes…wait I forgot folks don’t like to read.

Anyway in regards Bernie, definitely not a supporter(I think he’s full of crap) however I would say he may do a better job in his campaign if his gate keepers/campaign staff brand him a little be better. Terms like Socialist or even Democratic Socialist is not going help gain voters who are on the fence, if anything it would scare them away. What they probably need to do is brand him more as a FDR Democrat because that’s closer to what his platform represent.

Here is some reading for you…short and to the point.

Socialism doesn’t work…even a little of it.

In its purest form, I would agree it doesn’t work, however that didn’t stop us from adopting some of its characteristics such as public education, public safety, interstate highways, if it wasn’t for the TVA those areas in TN, KY, SW VA, Western NC, GA and AL would look quite different today. Hell…the trump tax cut for the wealthy was a form of socialism…did you have an issue with that?

No one want’s full blown socialism here in the U.S., however there are some useful characteristics that has advanced (see public education) this country tremendously.

Schools and highways are close. Not really socialist as much as public trust.

Only social security is what I consider a genuine socialist program and it is suffering from covering the boomers and increased longevity. How many people love social security? Not need it, but can point to it as a funding model for other programs like elder care or medicine.

I think the US has dipped enough toe in socialism to not want more.

I never said I was afraid of it. I just don’t agree with much of Sanders’ platform…The media is making his socialism scary.

Same for Trump?

And you think millennials do?

Of course you can be all three at the same time. Evolving.

I would guess the majority of people on this forum have at least a basic understanding of capitalism and socialism. Maybe the reading assignment should be given to Bernie Sanders as Denmark, Norway, and jusy recently members of Sweden’s ruling party tell Sanders to quit calling their countries socialist.
