PPE, like gloves, face masks, bouffant caps, and full disposable outer wear is one of the many items I provide to my customers, Electronics and Medical device manufacturers.

They are all screaming for masks. And we do not have any.

Right now, in general, things pretty much suck, and in many ways…will get worse.

I am NOT hoping that to happen…I want things to get back to normal.

But is the truth, anf current reality. Hell, even Trump said we may have up to 200k deaths…one of the few times he was honest.

We need hope, but not false, wishful thinking hope. Cautious, optimistic hope, based in realty.

We need a leader. Not a Cheerleader.

That’s not what left here is doing.

Really… what is the “left here” doing?

Not from what I read.

The latest hype on HCQ was briefly inflamed because there was a poster who put up a blog on Medium that got pulled down after a bit.

The poster knew just enough to be dangerous…stitched together a hypothesis (based on a couple of real papers out of China) that the virus was not in fact causing pneumonia in the normal way but was instead getting into the bloodstream and binding to the heme unit of hemoglobin, knocking out the iron atom and changing the conformation so it couldn’t pick up oxygen…a sort of “carbon monoxide” poisoning type mechanism. And so ventilation was useless because the virus-bound hemoglobin couldn’t accept the oxygen and also the red blood cells were then being destroyed and metabolized by the liver.

Therefore sepsis wasn’t because of fluid in the lungs lowering oxygen in the bloodstream, but this instead.

And that HCQ thus was working the same way it worked for malaria because it targets the parasite-infected red blood cells.

So off the charts ridiculous mechanism for viral infection but sounded plausible because there were two papers that noted virus could bind to the heme unit.

Plus an attempt to validate HCQ as an effective drug, I guess.

What you’re bring up is why people need to learn to be cautious of blog post opinions, anecdotes and small studies in general. People want their hypothesis to be correct so they will deliberately or unwittingly start to frame everything in a way to make it seem correct. It can look good and sound good.

It’s not until researchers produce results in well controlled settings can we begin to have some confidence.

So ABC publishes an article that The National Center for Medical Intelligence, a branch of the Pentagon’s Defense Intelligence Agency, issued a rare statement Wednesday debunking media claims that it produced a report warning about the novel coronavirus as far back as November.

Will ABC make a correction and if so, where will it be? This is an example of what I told you this morning and there’s plenty more…every day.

NBC is really invested into this drug not working…that is obvious.

Yep…and I find it disgusting. This is why they truly are, an enemy of the people.

I never said anything about this story, so I’m not sure why you’re addressing it to me…but the pentagon denying something isn’t proof the sources lied.

Luckily the active ingredient in effective drugs isn’t faith.

Are you sure about that?

:sunglasses:

I do find it interesting the CDC on their official website quietly took down the dosage directions that were recommended by the now disavowed French trial that was pushed so hard by President Trump…disavowed because we now know the study director unenrolled several patients who did not respond to the HCQ treatment, and didn’t include them in the final study results.

That’s what we call “cooking the books”.

I’m surprised none of our expert “bias finders” on this thread happened to report on this recent revelation.

It’s an example of our discussion regarding telling a lie…on their front page…people swallowing it…and then they do a retraction later in the week on page 32. The media is no longer an honest news source. They have evolved into nothing more than a lying political weapon for Democrats…

How do you know it was a lie?

BTW all media…including Fox and its pundits…bury retractions of things they got wrong.

Some never admit they got things wrong even when the evidence is plain as day they did.

Well well well. Isn’t that interesting.

In the interest of accuracy, the patients dropped out of the study.

However it is a total violation to not count their results in the study.

The study was only 20 patients. Just a few withdrawals with not integrating their results like that invalidated the entire study.

Where are our expert “bias finders” on this?

How did they miss this story?

Inquiring minds want to know…

The president lies so often it isn’t even news when he lies. He’s also surrounded by liars. The story being denied by the Pentagon doesn’t mean ■■■■

Alright…I’ll mark that down as your opinion. It’ll be fun to watch the truth, what ever it is, unfold…going forward.
