Not directions for use. What does the label say about swallowing or ingestion?

How much betadine would you have to drink to achieve a systemic concentration to have an effect on a virus within the type II cells of the lung?

People often get a little gas in their mouth when syphoning a tank. Probably swallow a little bit too. Is gas OK to drink?

Nothing about swallowing or ingesting. As I said. How do you gargle without swallowing any at all? This is Cipladine povidine- iodine gargle. Are you a doctor? Nobody has suggested “drinking” it, or taking it in excessive doses.

Did Trump suggest drinking large does of anything? He simply asked if there might be something that acts like a disinfectant that could be given internally (in a sufficient safe dose, obviously) to knock out viruses as quickly as disinfectants do externally.

Why are you trying to colour my post as suggesting people taking excessive and damaging doses of Iodine?

Literally none of this is what he said

He didn’t say “acts like” disinfectant
He didn’t say “as quickly as disinfectants do”

And then I see the disinfectant , where it knocks it out in a minute, one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning, because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs. So it’d be interesting to check that. So that you’re going to have to use medical doctors with, but it sounds interesting to me.

And as you keep demonstrating, neither do you. Only difference is you’re acting as if you do

“Something like” what?

“where it knocks it out in a minute, one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that…”

Something like the disinfectant does on external surfaces. I.e. knock out the virus in a minute, but in the lungs.

Would an inhaler containing iodine in safe doses inject iodine into the lungs? Would the iodine kill the virus in the lungs? It’s worth asking the question.

Great. Give an example of a “disinfectant” that can be given orally in a safe manner and in high enough concentrations to affect the coronavirus. Suggesting accidentally ingesting a small volume of betadine translates into a real world application of consuming therapeutic levels of topical disinfectants is dangerous and false.

That’s only one of several flaws

People died because the President promoted something he didn’t fully grasp

Yes, that is the way it works.

I notice that happens a lot from certain posters

Well he didn’t know what safety studies actually study either…

Oops.
:joy:

Can you prove this “common” occurrence? Just because it might of been in a movie doesn’t mean it actually happens on any type of regular basis

Do these count?

Chemotherapy drugs may be administered:

  • Orally: In pill or liquid form are taken by mouth
  • Infusion: Delivered directly into a vein through an intravenous drip. This process may take several hours.
  • Injection: Delivered through a needle injected into a vein, muscle or under the skin
  • Topically: In cream form and are spread on the skin
  • Intrathecal: Delivered directly into the central nervous system
  • Intraperitoneal: Given directly into the abdominal cavity

None of those are disinfectants.

He was talking about Iodine? Can you point out where he said this? Even days later will suffice. Thanks in advance

I notice that happens a lot

Because that destroys the narrative that some were already entrenched in

Right, because obviously, he “literally” meant drinking a cleaning disinfectant.
