I’m reinstating NuffSaid’s credibility, the scoring system was treating them very unfairly.

He (Trump) didn’t say that or he isn’t a hero to Republicants?

I saw your post before you edited it.
Do you think Trump was just joking with the media?

People died from this. It didn’t take a rocked scientist to figure this out. The FDA is recommending that Drs not prescribe this outside of a clinical trial and in those trials, the drug should not be prescribed for outpatient use.

This outcome was predictable. People died from this.

We have reviewed case reports in the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System database, the published medical literature, and the American Association of Poison Control Centers National Poison Data System concerning serious heart-related adverse events and death in patients with COVID-19 receiving hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine, either alone or combined with azithromycin or other QT prolonging medicines. These adverse events included QT interval prolongation, ventricular tachycardia and ventricular fibrillation, and in some cases, death. We are continuing to investigate these safety risks in patients with COVID-19 and will communicate publicly when more information is available.

This is a pretty amazing Vanity Fair piece. Basically the President met with Laura Ingraham in early April, started touting the Magic Pill and had a lot of government resources ties up trying to make good on what is magical thinking from the right wing fever swamp.

I can see why Trump is crumbling in front of everybody. For the first time in his life he can’t cheat, buy, or BS his way out of a jam and he is spiraling down daily, on camera.

I appreciate it.

I only posted what Trump said.

Didn’t know repeating idiotic crap the President says makes me lose credibility.

1600 PA avenue. Just bring a bigly check

Yep.
And for the first time Trump didn’t take a single question at the daily briefing.
After lying his ass off about sarcasm earlier today.

Samm has the best scoring system. Everybody is saying so.

inject disinfectants>you didn’t build that

Sometimes child logic is what is needed … an idea that is so ignorant and simple that learned people never thought of it. When you think about it, maybe ultraviolet light delivered with fiber optics inside body cavities, such as the nasal passages or the lungs, might have a positive effect at reducing virus load and thus giving the immune system more time to work.

In my working career as an engineer, there were several “aha moments” where I somewhat accidently came into a discussion between my peers who were trying to solve an engineering problem, and not knowing the precise problem or what they had or had not tried to solve it, took one look at it and said “why don’t you just do this?” Many times, that uninformed comment was the key to them solving their problem. I even had it happen to me a couple of times as well. If you have ever gone to any brainstorming training, the first thing they tell you is that there is no such thing as a stupid idea.

Do you think a press briefing by the President of the United States is a good time for brainstorming and “stupid questions”?

Yeah, basically all of the bluster and lies that he successfully used against his political opponents are totally ineffective when your opponent is a virus. So now we see this one trick pony, flailing and failing as he has to deal with an actual crisis.

Ah yes - the Vito Spadafora “It’s a joke” defense!

In massive and prolonged exposure, yes. But each and every one of us has been exposed to UV over our entire lives, and yet it causes cancer in only a relative handful of people. In fact, many anti-cancer treatments involve using carcinogenetic drugs and/or radiation.

once again we see the best words from the best brain…

this is literally the best the republican party has to offer…

“Brainstorming,” does not mean that there is no such thing as a stupid idea. He just showed that he should absolutely not be making medical recommendations of any kind.

From your peers.

considering the utter disdain conservatives have for science and scientists, i wonder which advice they are going to follow…

must defend trump at all costs…
