Agreed. So whenever the dosage kills the patient, we did it “wrong”. Not intentionally.

Whoever implied that patients are being killed intentionally? The lack of study data to tell how much to give will, of course, increase the danger of giving it to people.

Now you’re being reasonable. That’s no fun for me.

No the high dosing does not bear that out because no one knows what the “high dosing” really is when using this drug for a condition for which is was not designed.

But this goes along with the other post made where Rita Wilson was obviously “just being ungrateful” for chloroquine.

The attitude adopted by many is the drug works for COVID, so anytime it doesn’t or causes ill effects, the doctors who prescribed it were “doing it wrong”.

Confirmation bias out the wazoo.

Ok, if you say so.

Rita Wilson is alive, perhaps she should be grateful to someone.

I’m sure she’s grateful to her doctors.

All she pointed out she had side effects which are known to happen with taking chloroquine and she has no clue whether the drug helped her or not.

So my observation is that it is interesting how some people accept certain anecdotes without qualification but will readily pillory other anecdotes.

The doctors who gave her the chloroquine?

@WuWei I doubt the brother will find that fact important. Truth and logic escapes some by their intense hatred of anything out President mentions. If it proves to be true, they claim Obamanation or Biden said it first.

You are funny. :rofl::smiley::rofl::smiley::rofl:

Rita was unhappy with her experience. But, she did not appears to have suffered from her Chinese Wuhan encounter. It is what it is, Bro.

What fact?

Doesn’t the Brazil high dosing result kind of bear that out?

There actually has been some guidelines of safe doses in the past 40 - 50 years. The Brazilians may have been experimenting with higher doses than have ever been successfully administered

How do you get that from what is the latest version of right wing medical quackery and grift? Pointing and shaking your head and saying “maybe the 39th time you get burned you’ll figure it out” ain’t exactly wearing a sandwich board.

Kind of like speeding or drunk driving Peter. You do it enough times you get burned, ticketed, or jailed. All because one ignores common sense.

By the way what were you implying anyway? You been listening to way to many Biden Podcasts.

Maybe he was sure intuitively that China and the WHO were lying, but because China and the WHO were lying, Trump, at the time he knew, had insufficient medical facts upon which to sound an alarm louder than the disinformation of China and the WHO warranted.

That’s totally false. The FDA approve drugs that have serious side effects all the time. Anyone that has ever seen a commercial for a prescription drug is aware of this. The cardiac events associated with this drug are well known and documented. A percentage of those treated with this drug will suffer from those adverse events.
What makes you think that those events will not happen?

how is the miracle drug doing its been almost two months.

Nothing so far to say it does anything. At least from a controlled study standpoint.

The treatment recommendations from the Infectious Disease Society of America were updated two days ago. It is based on a running summary of all available substantiated clinical data. There continues to be no strong evidence of benefit.

Don’t know if this has been posted…a French HCQ study

84 patients received HCQ within 48 hours of admission, 97 percent received only standard of care.

The results:

*20.2% of the HCQ patients transferred to ICU or died within 7 days of the study, 22.1% of the non-HCQ patients had the same result (more detailed breakdown in the study)
*27.4% HCQ patients developed ARDS within 7 days…24.1% of non-HCQ patients developed ARDS within 7 days
*8 (9.5%) of the HCQ patients had to have the treatment discontinued when they developed EKG modifications

Conclusion…no benefits to using HCQ seen in this trial.
