American farmers are just going to have to take it. Trump’s commerce secretary says they’re in for some “pain”: “We also believe that if you don’t take some risk and show that you are willing to absorb a little bit of pain, how are you going to get things changed?” -Wilbur Ross
So don’t complain, farmers. Time to absorb some pain.

Soybeans are fungible.
Just like oil is fungible.
Our demand for oil drives up the price of oil the same regardless of who we buy it from.
Gold is fungible.
Demand for gold drives up all gold prices regardless of whether any set of transactions is for US gold or South African gold.

I’m still waiting on you too to teach me about commodities. I mean you guys sound like you’re experts in this field.
Look at the good news. All this trade war stuff has caused the DOW to pull way back and now is in chop. We really needed that. It was way too high and headed for a crash.

I truly believe the market us overpriced and a pullback is inevitable. But I get nervous at Trump-sparked pulkbacks.
We have the best soybeans.
I’m gonna buy more soybean products. The heck with the Chinese.
I think socialists are experts in commodities.

It’s one thing to oppose efforts to stop China’s cheating.
It is another to actually he gleeful when bad things happen to America simply because you can make political hay out of it.
Yep, it’s not like there’s an unlimited supply of soybeans on the world market or an unlimited number of countries producing them.
This is like when the left and dems said we were going to get in a war with NK… And gosh, look how well that’s turning out…
I would never give you that degree of respect.
We’re still waiting for an example of your expertise on commodities.
Good thing China is almost done its trade route with India.
Because being the agricultural giant it is with such a small population they have unlimited soybeans to spare?
fourth largest exporter in the world.
You seem to think America is the only choice of provider for China.
