It is delusional to think that we will stop trading with our biggest trading partner. Morrison might he a twice failed ad man; but even he isn’t that stupid.

I’d have to say those jobs were served to them on a silver platter by our politicians, with no charge to ship those products back into the US without penalties.
That can certainly be argued as well.
And if it continues in thirty years you’d better hope you can speak Chinese because they will own you lock, stock, and barrel.
Any country that believes China is their friend or has anyone’s best interests in mind other than China’s is living in a self created delusion.
I trust China as much as I trust the USA under the current USA administration. That is an accurate reflection of how much damage Trump has done to the USA’s reputation.
So today money is more important than lives to you, it seems.
Talk about inconsistent. Shut down the economy to save a few lives, never mind the money.
Refuse to shut down trade with China to save more lives because… The money.
The take away is… It’s not about the money or lives at all. It’s about helping China extend its influence and crippling China’s competitors.

Given i am not a member of the House of Reps, Senate, Legislative Assembly or Legislative Council it is reasonable to suggest that you have over-estimated my influence in determining Australia’s trading partners.
Australia’s decision to lockdown has demonstrably and unequivocally saved lives.
The USA’s cutting of foreign aid has allowed China to expand its influence in areas such as Oceania and Africa.
The only reason they are Australia’s main trading partner is proximity and China’s expansionist desires in the SPAC region.
Attempting to appease them will work out as well for them as Appeasing Imperial Japan eventually.
Oh really? What makes you so important that Trump should care what you think?
You cannot seriously believe that.
Most assuredly I do. I wouldn’t trust Trump as far as I could throw him Pompeo I would trust even less.
