Sooner or later these type thugs are going to run into some one they will wish they had stayed far far away from.

Oh, Al, I don’t give a ā– ā– ā– ā–  what you want.

Change the metrics by which police are measured to be ā€œdoing a good jobā€.

Rein in police to be what it should be…enforcement of laws as opposed to some nebulous concept of ā€œkeeping orderā€.

Stop ā€œhigh engagement policingā€ which instead of enforcing the laws uses stupid laws like ā€œobstructing pedestrian progressā€ to pull people aside for ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  reasons.

Likewise.

Guess your work life is an open book.

Why not just live stream it like you want the police to do.

Allan

Then we shall see how you like.

Don’t forget to post the stream so all hannity forumites can see it.

Nine kinds of wrong. Police abuse. Cop has no business putting his hands on first.

And disarm 75% of them. There are thousands of small towns in america where cops don’t need guns. And even in the big cities, all of them don’t need to be armed.

Non concur…Change the laws put in place in the first place so that the police officers are not put in an unwinnable position. If police officers are there to enforce laws, only make laws that our communities are willing to enforce. All other other laws that the community is not willing to enforce should be eliminated.

Isn’t that pretty much what he said?

He said

I am saying the police are already enforcing laws, and that there are too many laws , and the police officers are put in a position to think and they are failing miserably at it.

Think about it this way. If a guy gets drunk at a bar, goes out into his vehicle and goes to sllep, in many localities he can be charged with DUI because he was behind the steering wheel. That DUI law should be changed to where the person can not be charged with DUI unless they observe him driving.

Another incident was Freddie Gray. Remove the law that says a guy can’t sell loose cigarettes or a guy cant be drunk in public. These are the very laws that force police officers to intervene with the public.

Then when someone dies from said interaction the community is outraged. So remove the reason for the interaction with the public in the first place. This way the officers dont have to think. Only have laws for police response that require police involvement.

Ok. Good post. You’re right about the laws.

drones wouldnt be all that effective in urban areas for a lot of reasons.

  1. drone cameras are wide angle. very hard to discern small details
  2. unless your in a fairly open area launching the drone can be problematic. overhanging trees for example.
  3. in urban areas, especially urban areas drones can have a lot of interference with their GPS navigation, making them rely on optical sensors which only work in the daytime

My post retirement gig is driving a school bus. It’s ridiculous, I lay on the horn, they go past and give me the finger.
