Absolutely. At least over the last 800,000 years or so. The ice core data does not go back beyond that.
But those same ice cores show that the time span from stable warm eras to full ice ages was less than 100 years … and as little as ten years in some instances. That data was one reason some scientists were so concerned in the late 60s early 70s … they weren’t so much predicting that it was going to happen (like some media was suggesting) but that it was very possible.
