Captain Tom at 99 wanted to raise £1,000 for NHS charities by doing 100 laps of his garden. He ended up raising £32 MILLION.
His efforts have united a nation and are an inspiration for everyone.
He just turned 100 and was honored by a RAF fly past, messages from the Queen and Prime Minisiter and thousands of cards. He also was promoted to Honorary Colonel by the British Army.
Oh and he also got to number in the UK music charts.
