Her example she used was George Floyd. I don’t think anyone is holding up his background to say that he was a great guy. But it doesn’t matter what the hell he did in his past. He wasn’t killed for anything but being “suspected” of knowingly using a counterfeit bill.
Black people hold up rappers with a questionable past but I can’t think of one black person that was a murderer, drug dealer, etc that we held up as a model citizen. R Kelly and Michael Jackson are notables. We dropped Bill Cosby. Kanye.
All people?
Yes, there are very horrible people in the world, here are a bunch of racist kid mocking Floyd.

Exactly. And what she is saying is he is a poor choice for a champion. You can protest police brutality without having a saint.

You asked if people/groups where champion those cops and there are and they are becoming more popular by the year.

That’s what she said.
Is that a yes?
Are you asking me a question or answering mine?
I understand her point but she make claim that only black people champion those thing when in reality all cultures champion bad people for morality dubious reasons.
Why, because she has a different opinion then you?

If he has been in trouble before, it kind of matters.
It really doesn’t.
Martyrdom has to do with how you die, not how you lived.
He is known to LEOs. I would think his previous interactions might have something to with how this came around. I am not saying this should clear these officers in any way. I don’t mean that and hope that isnt the way I come across.

Assuming he had any of that type interaction with those cops.
It’s difficult to discuss his history without it seeming that way.
The interesting thing is it seems unanimous that is was a murder, no matter what else.
I disagree with her about some things and it is not my place to pick martyrs for the black nation.

Her stats seems right. 6 percent of population commits about 45 percent of murders in this country.
I can think of 1… R Kelly. So generally, no.
Oh and Michael Brown. That was a mistake.
