Thank you for the post. I partially disagree with your analysis. If Walmart created millions of jobs, they did so at the expense of the jobs that were lost because…now look at your last sentence…they didn’t pay their employees and put those businesses that did, out of business. Production, where everyone benefits is one thing but production at the expense of something else must be looked at regarding the net. It’s just like Amazon today. I’ve expressed to my wife that she is to not EVER buy me anything from Amazon. I’d rather pay more, do my business locally and know that…what goes around, comes around and that’s how I live my life.
I sell cars and work to have the highest average gross possible but…also…at the same time, consider the depreciation to the customer when they go over the curb? It’s the net that separates good auto people from the rest.
