Cancel culture goes after Walmart

I find “Wally World” to be “location appealing”. There are some whose employees are customer friendly and other stores where the employees are lazy ass cretins with a stink assed attitude.
I will confess the only Walmart I’ve visited in the last few years is located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Again, location location location.
There’s one here in Palm Beach county not far away I’ve been told is a good store.

This isn’t canceling, not even a boycott attempt. It’s more of an example of calling them out. Canceling is what liberals do to individuals who don’t toe the line of political correctness.

I’ve yet to find one of the nice ones haha. They are all dystopian nightmares to me. I ceded them to the welfare rabble back in the '90s. The last time I visited one I witnessed a 20 or 30-something female trailing behind her mom, who was riding one of those little carts for the obese people, saying “mom, you bitch, get me some ■■■■■■■ Oreos!”

Was he doxxed? People refusing to attend or watch football games is not canceling. The canceling I’m talking about is some liberal getting on social media and saying “John Doe just said this. His address is this, and his phone number is this. He works here. Call his employer and tell them what kind of man works for them!!”

Walmart isn’t going to have a problem. At least not from what I’ve seen. It’s mostly frequented by people looking for .25 cents off of a bag of chips. It’s a mass of humanity and depressing environment if you ask me. And the only parking lot where you can find discarded diapers.

Perhaps in your area. In many areas, Walmart is the most viable choice.

I don’t care for Walmart myself, haven’t set foot in one in over 2 years. It’s mostly cheap Chinese crap and I don’t need any of it. But it feels a need for many people.

Well those posts are wrong in my opinion. Disagreements are just fine in a healthy society. Perhaps we have reached a point where we are unable to disagree without perceiving the other side as the enemy.

Thank you for the post. I partially disagree with your analysis. If Walmart created millions of jobs, they did so at the expense of the jobs that were lost because…now look at your last sentence…they didn’t pay their employees and put those businesses that did, out of business. Production, where everyone benefits is one thing but production at the expense of something else must be looked at regarding the net. It’s just like Amazon today. I’ve expressed to my wife that she is to not EVER buy me anything from Amazon. I’d rather pay more, do my business locally and know that…what goes around, comes around and that’s how I live my life.

I sell cars and work to have the highest average gross possible but…also…at the same time, consider the depreciation to the customer when they go over the curb? It’s the net that separates good auto people from the rest.

We also avoid amazon. Cancelled prime etc…

Re: the first paragraph…I don’t know…you’re kind of sounding like a softie lib…Walmart put people out of business? Shouldn’t those people have worked harder, and bootstraped their way up to prosperity?

Mind you, I don’t agree with that, but that is always the line I hear from conseravtives when we discuss helping americans get by.

And in a capialist system, there is ALWAYS losers. Production where everyone benefits doesn’t exist. The push and pull of supply and demand and competition means someone is always doing better.

But anyway, we are getting far afield from my central point which is, nothing wrong with having a nation of service sector workers instead of facotry workers. We just need to be sure the corps that hire them bear the full cost of the labor by paying them a living wage.

This benefits everyone. The employee has a better life, uses less governement safety nets, which costs us less money, the corp has happier employees who then will be more producive, the competition isn’t disadvantaged by cut throat wage practices…we’re all better for it.
