People’s Party of Canada Leader Maxime Bernier has doubled down after attempting to discredit an internationally recognized teenage climate change activist by calling her “mentally unstable.”
After facing scorn on Twitter for his remarks on Greta Thunberg on Sunday, Bernier did not back down in an eight-part tweetstorm the following day.
He joins a long list of white conservative men who are apparently so threatened by what this young lady has to say about climate change that they done everything from personally attack to wish death upon her.
When a person places themselves into the spotlight and leads a charge that is controversial, they are NOT off limits to criticism that goes along with the political/social position they have taken. Libs want it both ways but it doesn’t work that way, no matter who you are. The old saying, if you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen…applies in this instance.
Does the mental disability, in anyway diminish the level of perceived thinking and conclusions, regarding this issue? In the desire to be fair and impartial, how can you conclude it doesn’t? If it does, is it off-limits to verbalize this conclusion?

If you want to judge her and critique her for her disability, have at it. That’s a stand I am not comfortable taking for any human. I prefer to judge a person based on their words and actions.
I haven’t and I have no desire to but that isn’t the issue? She placed herself in the public spotlight allowing herself to be examined and criticized by that same public. This isn’t my thing.
