If there is one thing we all hate its the “Fake News” so the Premier of Ontario took some advice from Trump and has not only limited question by reporters but also created his own news outlet to push the TRUTH.
The Ford government confirmed to Global News that production of the content is being paid for with taxpayer dollars.
While they did not respond to a requests for specifics on Tuesday and Wednesday about how much the project would cost, Jeff Silverstein, director of communications for PC Caucus Services, told Global News in an e-mail, “We’re using technologies available to us to communicate with the people. Platforms such as Facebook provide us with the opportunity to communicate directly with people from all corners of Ontario.”
Ontario Deputy Premier Christine Elliott initially said the video production costs weren’t funded by taxpayers. When told by a reporter the costs are funded out of the PC Party caucus budget, she referred questions to MPP Peter Bethlenfalvy, who also serves as the provincial treasury board president.
During the campaign, Ford’s team, of which Silverstein was a part, produced news-style videos complimentary to then-candidate Doug Ford. The party promoted the videos on social media, a tactic former campaign staff say was key to their success in getting their message out.
If you can’t stand the Press, Canadian politics are not for you they are lightweight compared to Question period in the House which has already been a zoo.
Ford won’t play along with Justin’s massively bad cap and trade ideas, and sky high taxes. What is economic growth in Canada right now under his left wing leadership… about 1%?
Justin has had a tough time in the House since he was elected they grill him hard every week, Ford also has been having a hard time mostly from the NDP trying to flex themselves as the new main party.
He’s a conservative who is keeping his promises to lower taxes and get rid of cap and trade, which Justin is a big promoter of. So naturally the media hates him.
First off he is going to waste money fighting cap and trade. When he scrapped it for the province he scrapped projects being paid for including fixing schools. He told us he did not have to pay the CEO Hydro One all his money he was contractually owed when fired stating he only paid 400000. Turned out to be 9 million dollars.
He is using tax payer money for the propaganda news now.
They also cancelled the minimum income project which they promised they wouldn’t.
He is also getting back at people he lost elections to by slashing city councillors in Toronto.
By the way is ripping up contracts and making laws that you can’t sue the government when they rip up your contacts conservative?
The cap and trade program was not only about taxes but investment. Now Ontario is out about 3 billion dollars in investments.
And if would you open a business in a place where the government could severely harm your business with a law and puts in that law you cant sur us for it?
It looks like a really, really bad SNL skit, but it’s for real. Pretty boy is like a wind up Ken doll who just repeats the same old drivel over and over.
Yes but he said he would honor the contracts which he isn’t going to do.
He said he was going to cut government spending instead we get to pay fake news and 2 lawsuits.
The guy he replaced at least was honest too bad the party went after him.
He was honest enough to say in a leadership debate that you can’t promise to cut taxes and promise to spend money and talk about how bad the deficit is.
