I didn’t eligible either. They already receive Medicaid level insurance.

Medicine will always be…not broken…flawed.

wouldn’t medicaid go away and now be fed supplied (instead of state). And again I ask will they pay into the system (aka taxes) or not.

I doubt it. Those not contributing to our federal taxes are the ones pushing it.

Just another freebie for them.

Another redistribution from the contributors to the takers.

We are not discussing medicine.

You mean federal income tax.

Sure can be done through systems other than income tax.

Why? Will the federal gubmint start spoon feeding people too?

And billions for covid relief.

I think the keysvin this bill’s defeat are

Billions of dollars in taxes to finance it, and

The idea of government takeover of health care not being palatable to many California residents.

Rather than pushing this bill, which might have cost his fellow Democratic incumbents and candidates votes, Assemblyman Kalra opted not to push this bill forward.

will the lower income people pay into the system?

Sure. If their income is low but high enough where they don’t qualify for government assistance in form of Medicaid yes they should absolutely pay into the system.

You don’t say.

Only in that the feds could hide some of the needed taxes by printing money and inflating the currency which is a very regressive form of taxation.

They are busy enough right now.

They refuse to learn that lesson, that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t point it out though. And unless I miss my guess even more evidence is headed down the pike.

Weimer level inflation. Any day now

I do.

I don’t recall using that term.

Fine you didn’t. When has your point about reduction of value of currency held due to money printing and things like qe ever been proven correct. Even Biden’s stimulus added less than .5 percentage point to inflation.
