20133. Determination of Drop-off Locations and Number of Drop Boxes.

  1. Drop-off locations shall be determined by the county elections official. In determining locations, the elections official shall, at a minimum, consider concentrations of population, geographic areas, voter convenience, proximity to public transportation, community-based locations, security, and available funding.
  2. Staffed drop box locations may include, but are not limited to, city offices, public libraries, county offices, assisted living facilities, local businesses, and offices of community organizations.
  3. The number of drop-off locations and drop boxes shall be determined by the county elections official.

Great, glad to hear it.

Can you show us where election officials approved the installation of the drop boxes? You know, as required by the law?

That law applies to the election commission, not ballot harvesting, which is legal in California.

They didn’t ballot harvest, which has specific requirements.

They installed illegal drop boxes and labeled them as “Official”.

Top image is a real drop box, the lower image is one of the fraudulent ones.

It is ballot harvesting, which is legal in California.

They look nothing alike.

Installing illegal drop boxes isn’t though.

And of course they don’t look alike. One is real, one is fake.

Yes, it is for ballot harvesting.

A drop box is not a person.

Section 3017 as amended reads “However, a vote by mail voter who is unable to return the ballot may designate any person to return the ballot to the elections official…” yada, yada, yada.

The California GOP was sent a cease and dist order by the CalSec State and changed their procedures to end illegal drop boxes and more to comply with designated deliver provisions.

So…

But while the California Republican Party agreed not to place unauthorized ballot drop boxes outdoors, leave drop boxes unattended or present them as official, the party said it will continue to accept ballots delivered by voters to local party offices and secure them in boxes attended by staff or volunteers.

I didn’t even know there was a California GOP.

They were indoors. Churches, etc. ballot harvesting.

They are still using the boxes.

They changed the procedures to comply with the designated collection vs. drop box. Since receiving the cease and desist order from the CalSecState, they have move them inside and now they will be attended.

Again to quote form the previous link: “But while the California Republican Party agreed not to place unauthorized ballot drop boxes outdoors, leave drop boxes unattended or present them as official, the party said it will continue to accept ballots delivered by voters to local party offices and secure them in boxes attended by staff or volunteers.”

They are no longer unattended drop boxes, they are are attended collection points.
