The official death count in California’s devastating wildfires rose to 77 people Monday, with over 1,000 people still missing as first responders rush to towns and communities totally destroyed by the inferno.

California west of the Sierra Navadas has NEVER been sutible for high density habitation. Even though they are right on the ocean, they have to steal water from Utah and Nevada leaving the Colorado river dry by the time it reaches the Baja Gulf. Between earthquakes, fires, mudslides and drought you would think they would finally get the hint.
