What is the difference if everyone is obeying the laws? What about at night on regular roads, still safe to walk down road if cars don’t speed?

I already said the new CA law I agree with. Just ticket if they cause a safety problem. That includes stepping out and making a car stop so they can cross not at a cross walk.

I didn’t even know people enforced jaywalking laws.

First time I ever went to NYC I waited at a cross walk that was on red. The looks I got from New Yorkers told me pretty quick that I was a duck out of water. By the end of the first day I was jaywalking with them.
