Tell that to the CEOs of every major car manufacturer. They’re all shifting investments in both R&D and production to almost exclusively electric.

If only these executives had the insight that the mysterious “they” have.

Maybe. What they don’t know won’t hurt them.

On the other hand, our grandkids have “rediscovered” LPs.

That doesn’t make it better. They won’t know the pleasure of driving a four-speed manual either.

Or a horse and carriage

Driving stick is awesome, it’s unfortunate it has faded away other then some specific types.

Hey people pay money to get “driven” around in horse drawn carriage…ah the nostalgia

Maybe the same will happen to ICE vehicles? :man_shrugging:

Well, unless we get an Administration that supports domestic mineral extraction, they will have to buy them without any rebate, because that’s effectively what the EV rebate law requires in 2023.

It’s easy to grow sales by large percentages when the numbers are small. Regardless of the supply chain coming back toward pre-covid days, the supply of the metals and other minerals needed to produce batteries and motors and other electronic components has not improved accordingly. Expect the percent of sales increase to slow down significantly unless the US very quickly begins to develop domestic mineral supplies.

I bet those CEOs barely sleep at night wondering how they are ever going to get their hands on the components and materials needed to build all those cars …

I will always keep a stick around. I just love it. But my wife can’t drive one… so can’t be a main car unfortunately

Once is a thrill, more than once is amusing, routinely is a significant bother.

MAYBE because new ICE cars were hard to find. Most new lots in my region had very few new cars on their lots. In fact the new inventory is still quite low.

Color me shocked a liberal rag has a misleading headline. Really dude? we can read but thanks for your input

Pity.

And we all know domestic car companies have never made a mistake.

Or this affront to decent human civilization.

Someone at GM thought you could turn a Cavalier into a Cadillac and sell it for twice the price of said Cavalier.

Rumor has it that the Cadillac branch office has a picture of this car with the words “Lest we Forget” on a plaque.
