Wikipedia says “ The East Wing of the White House complex was a building built in 1902 and significantly expanded in 1942.”

So this is an old building… and apparently now is the time for an upgrade.

Sorry, but if any President said on July 31st that no existing structures would be touched and then in October the entire East Wing is demolished, all without a final plan, I would be equally critical of said President.
It’s clear that none of this matters to you because it’s Trump.
