Golly Mr. Wizard, you think it’s harder to monitor a 1000 mile long wall than a wall around a single property? No foolin’? So it doesn’t make sense to you to make it harder and take longer for illegals to cross, thus increasing the chances they’ll be spotted by eyes, cameras or drones, which in turn will give border patrol agents a better chance of stopping them before they get away?

The great wall question isn’t as simple as: “does it decrease people successfully sneaking into the border” but does it do so at a level to make up for the cost and maintenance of the wall, repairs to parts that are cut by migrants, the cost of dealing with attempting migrates who fall and hurt themselves, not to mention the impact it has on local wildlife. And of course let us not forget the tunnels which makes it harder to spot them with eyes, cameras, or drones. Also keep in mind many of the illegal crossers who are asylum seekers want to get caught.

So if all these people are wanting asylum, and they end up on OUR BORDER, then obviously the Mexican government is helping them. And that “THE MEXICAN GOVERNMENT IS OBVIOUSLY HELPING THEM” makes it pretty evident that their priority of asylum is total ■■■■■■■■■ Mexico is the closest country and is very well capable of providing asylum.
