Businesses defying stay at home orders/corporate greed/socialism

It’s already hard enough for people to continue to make masks requested by medical facilities, so go ahead and close one of the places where they can buy needed supplies. Makes sense.

Is the boss in the store, being exposed to the needy public, keeping a store open?
Or is infection from public non-contact reserved for the workers?

Hilarious as you just demonstrated your contempt for everyone that isn’t bending over for the state.

Check your mirror.

Are you a welder? Are you a carpenter? Are you a landscaper? What preparation was necessary? Do you see an opportunity to start your own welding shop?

In all that you do, you give this world your very best efforts and pursue your American Dream.

If you find something negative in what I said, that’s because that’s YOUR mindset. It isn’t mine though. That isn’t giving this world your very best efforts, now is it?

Reminds me of my granddad. He told me get all the education and training I could in everything I was interested in even if I wanted to be a ditch digger.

Be the best educated ditch digger you can be if that’s what you want to do but don’t skip the education and complain because all you ended up being was a DD.

My advice to young people for 30 years has been similar, never limit your options.

Every decision you make in life can give you more or fewer options so, “choose wisely”.

…and your grandfather was SPOT ON! :+1:

He and eight brothers and sisters crawled out of a dugout near Ft Sumner, NM. His dad never took home a salary of more than 30.00/mo plus bounties as a lawman.

His mom died of TB three days after he was born prematurely and his incubator was the wood stove the family cooked on.

All nine of those kids got BS or BA degrees, three post grad degrees and 3 professional degrees between them. The girls that didn’t get a graduate or professional degree married good men that literally built the state.

He knew what he was talking about. Hell, he washed dishes in a fraternity house for room and board and a few dollars a month at Baylor and graduated pharmacy school at 19.

His best friend then had to crate a birth certificate that made him 21 so he could get a license to practice.

Like most in his era he was born at home and the only original record of his birth was the Family Bible. :joy:

I would have loved to have met and known this very impressive man.

Only when it comes to pearl clutching.

Canada would like a word.

Forced? Who’s forcing it exactly? Does democracy only matter as long as the majority agrees with you? We’ve tried it your way. Broken system is broken. The only thing keeping it propped up at this point is fuzzy math and government “magic” and that’s bound to fail too, eventually.

Are they also making the filters for those masks? If they aren’t, guess how useful they are.

Yes, if the people don’t 100% willingly accept socialism and their role in it then it is forced upon them and must be supervised/controlled/allocated by an authoritarian state.

Boy you must be really pissed to have to pay taxes then.

Some taxes and what they are allocated for yes.
You just proved my point.

They totally are! Well, until the working man wants a paid sick day.

Of course I did.

Which creates an atmosphere for greatness…equal opportunity or equal outcomes?

If everybody always gets the same, regardless of efforts applied, the motivation then encourages those same to sink to the lowest survivable level.

The masks do not require filters.

You wear an N95 or similar mask with them, the face shields protect you from getting the virus transferred to your eyes via aerosol transmission.

Eventually, we’re gonna quit with the ■■■■■■■■ and you people are all gonna go back to work. :stuck_out_tongue:
