The U.S. official said he will change his plea to avoid a trial and spare his three children from the ensuing publicity, according to Pfingst.

Margaret Hunter has already pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy. In her plea deal, she agreed to testify against her husband during his trial.

I don’t buy he did it for the kids.

I do buy he did it because his wife got a plea deal and had agreed to testify against him. When your wife is going to get on the stand and give testimony that will put you in jail - it’s never good.

I’m afraid you are. Although the district has always seemed gerrymandered to me. Never understood how Orange County could be the same district as East county.

California has an independent redistricting commission. So there is no deliberate partisan gerrymandering going on.

But you will never get truly neat and compact districts even in a neutral system.

There was a time when I thought that one was innocent until “PROVEN” guilty. Then I saw what the dems did to Kavanaugh and his family. I also see how they are vilifying Trump and his family, constantly saying he is “Guilty”. Never “We think” Always “Guilty”. I guess the standards changed on that day.

Interesting list of places he spent money. I think they paid to take the family rabbit to Italy. A friend of mine was listed in the complaint for his golfing expeditions.

I’d lay odds that if elections were held today, they’d vote for him again.

If you look back at all of his elections he blew away the competition except for the last election. He won by only 3.4 points. So it looks like his district is on the verge of possibly turning blue.

We aren’t even close to being purple. The only reason the last one wasnt a blowout is that this all surfaced just before the elections and got lots of local media attention
