my first instinct was the battery blew up and it was being hyped, but i’ve seen lithium batteries violently vent and it didn’t look like that

Either scenario is just as likely. Especially given the H1B debate was happening over the last 3-4 days. Elon has also been removing blue checks and demonizing some who have disagreed and violated TOS.
