Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley set a new deadline for Brett Kavanaugh’s accuser to respond to his request for her to speak at a committee hearing; saying she must officially respond by 10:00am Friday.
According to Reuters, Grassley fired-off an official letter to ranking Democrat Dianne Feinstein requesting her initial, un-redacted version of the material she forwarded to the FBI.
“(Ford) continues to believe that a full non-partisan investigation of this matter is needed and she is willing to cooperate with the Committee," said Lisa Banks, Ford’s attorney. “However, the Committee’s stated plan to move forward with a hearing that has only two witnesses is not a fair or good faith investigation; there are multiple witnesses whose names have appeared publicly and should be included in any proceeding.”
Feinstein stunned her Congressional colleagues last week when she confirmed she had forwarded Christine Blasey Ford’s sexual misconduct allegations to the FBI.
