Katz legally purchased his firearms — .45 caliber and 9mm handguns — in Baltimore, Maryland, Jacksonville Sheriff Mike Williams told reporters. He bought them within the past month from a licensed dealer, officials said.

Once again the gov’t failed to do it’s duty. This guy should have never been able to legally put his hands on a gun.

Unless the law is changed to require the mental health profession to report such aberrant mentality to the FBI, there is not much the government can do to enforce that provision of the law. And if that were to happen, it’s likely that the mental health profession would sue and I would predict that the SCOTUS would find such a law to be unconstitutional.
