Yeah, they are all designed in the same wind tunnel so they come out looking like Ford Escorts,

Out here in Seattle area they’re doing it here…without any government funding. Way it should be done IMO.

The Government of Ireland is spending 100 million Euros (of public money) on charging stations. Private businesses are reimbursed to install them.

Government to spend €100m on public EV charging by 2025.

Yes like i say in mist supermarkets there are about 5-10 charging bays.and it looks like a giant plug nothing too complicate.
I agree that taxpayers shouldn’t foot the bill.
Quite happy with my honda crv.

For people who drive evs they are replacing gas stations and some of that funding is ultimately provided by the eu.
Even without public stations most private places have them.
I guess if they become popular enough the US will do the same so long journeys are possible.

The electric car buyers who do so to be "V"irtuous…are ignorant to the truth about they’re doing more damage to what they’re attempting to help by going electric. There should be videos played of the African children being used to mine cobalt and the health damage being done to them as a result.

…that would be a used 2021 Chevrolet Bolt with less than 30k on it and the range is around 240. Come see me and I’ll leave the light on for ya. :sunglasses: :tumbler_glass:

When do the batteries need replacement? What’s the cost? What’s the value of your car at that time? Are you ready? They’re worth less…resulting in the creation of junk at a record pace and the disposal of those batteries is the biggest problem of all. Where do you see that data in your chart?

That’s the first step. The next step is improving the charging speeds.

Here in the US, it won’t be as easy to put up charging stations. We don’t build things unless we know there’s a demand for them. Supermarkets, bars, hotels, will only do it if there is the need. They’ll most likely charge you for it too.

It looks like a vehicle straight out of Mad Max. So yeah, I guess that’s futuristic.

Right now in the US. it isn’t even close. Long journeys are stressful, and your entire trip is planned around your vehicle. That’s not going to change until a lot more people start buying EVs. Otherwise the infrastructure isn’t changing.

I wonder how fast these new battery run Porsches will be…

Electric…is FAST! The acceleration is what I’d describe as violent.

There’s only a half dozen or so charging stations in my county (all tesla charging) .

150,000 in the county.

Long journeys are easily doable for me and my gas powered Buick.

I can easily drive cross country with a 5 minute stop for gas here and there. :+1:

Not only that, you don’t even think about your vehicle. A 5 minute delay if you need gas. With an EV, you’re entire day revolves around your EV.

That’s right! They are only good as a very expensive commuter car.

Something that is worthless to me.
