BREAKING: EU Agrees to TRADE CONCESSIONS with Trump, Will LOWER TARIFFS on US GOODS

There isn’t a deal. Just an agreement to work on a deal. You guys really need to be more careful.

The new threatened EU tariffs are officially on hold while they work out the details including an agreement to move towards zero tariffs.

They have also agreed to start reducing the already existing tariffs while the rest is worked out.

SOP since 2003 or thereabouts.

“Was” perhaps.

The leaders pledged to expand European imports of U.S. liquefied natural gas and soybeans and both vowed to lower industrial tariffs, excluding autos. The U.S. and European Union will “hold off on other tariffs”’ while negotiations proceed, as well as re-examine U.S. steel and aluminum tariffs and retaliatory duties imposed by the EU “in due course,” Juncker said.

Well that’s bitter news for the dems and “principled” :rofl:never Trumpers who were having so much fun just yesterday!

No tariffs sounds good, but we had significant measures already in place for a reason, 18 to be exact.

So some industries would obviously be impacted negatively. I would like to see a comprehensive analysis.

The notion it was a one way street was always a false premise.

Good post.

Yay for agreements to agree on future negotiations to agree on an agreement.

Isn’t this what we did with Noko?

Yup. Trump will get the Peace prize for that and Nobel in Economics for this. At least, that’s what people are saying.

Obviously the EU are nothing but a bunch of Trumpkins.

It’s like raising your prices 10% and then advertise a 10% sale for the weekend

How will the EU buy more soybeans? They have no power to force companies/individuals to buy a particular product.
