European officials have offered concessions to the Trump administration in an attempt to avoid an all-out trade war this week; agreeing to lower tariffs for American-produced goods attempting to enter EU markets.

According to the Wall Street Journal, leading EU delegates agreed to the new terms during high-stakes negotiations with the President Wednesday; lowering industrial taxes and tariffs placed on farm goods.

“The official said European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and his top trade official Cecilia Malmström agreed to work with the U.S. administration to lower industrial tariffs on both sides, increase LNG exports and soy beans to Europe, and align regulatory standards to allow for medical devices to have better market access in Europe, the official said,” writes the WSJ.

More information as it develops.

If true it will be downplayed or ignored and replaced with the 24/7 Russia collusion narrative.

What’s the “if”? If the US drops its tariffs first.

The 12 billion assistance to farmers affected by all of this showed the EU we’re in this for the long haul.

Also, if you look at about 8 hours previous to this, the EU is readying another $20 billion in tariffs against the US.

European has far more to lose then America.

So if this works out we’re back to where we were before Trump imposed the tariffs.

What I heard is the tariffs will be suspended while negotiations go forward.

The EU has said they will buy soy beans and LNG from us. I’m sure there’s more to it.

I dont think so. it looks to me that the EU is going to buy the soy beans that were going to go to China. Seems that will help put pressure on China as we negotiate trade with them.

As recently as today this one (MrOT) was pummeled for not gathering with the growing mob on here preparing to march on the White House to protest for soybean farmers. This is a FACT.

None of the juvenile delinquent MSDNC regurgitaters blasting MrOT for basically saying “All gonna be cool” had ever even seen a soybean. (Although they get plenty of mashed up soybeans in their free school lunches).

And whadda ya know? Wal-lah…as they say… Trump Triumphant! And it didn’t even take a month.

TRUMP SCORES MASSIVE VICTORY FOR FARMERS AND OTHER PEOPLE. YIP YIP YIPPEE!

Trade Deal a ‘Major Win for President Trump,’ ‘Major Concession’ by European Union

25 Jul 2018 (Breitbart)
President Donald Trump scored a “major win” on Wednesday by reaching a limited trade deal with the European Union, which made a “major concession” to the United States to avoid a trade war.

That’s according to business news anchor Neil Cavuto of Fox News — who just last week blasted President Trump over his press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, Finland.

Amidst recent tariffs and tensions, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker arrived at the White House with two options for a deal to avoid a wider trade war, according to ABC News: “eliminate tariffs on cars for all trading partners or create a limited free trade agreement between the U.S. and EU on industrial goods.”

Trump opted for the latter — and secured Europe’s agreement to buy more American soybeans and liquefied natural gas (LNG). The two also announced that they would begin “to work together toward zero tariffs, zero non-tariff barriers, and zero subsidies on non-auto industrial goods,” in Trump’s words.

Unconvincing, needs more all caps.

Cool source!

Good news, too bad it will just be belittled by many. No matter how good it is for the US they will oppose it out of partisanship.

I’ll give the President the benefit of the doubt (which is considerable considering his all over the map utterances). I do get a sense he’s listening to the smarter more veteran voices in the room. Hope so.
