I don’t have the numbers but I would assume debt forgiveness would have a wider ranging effect across lower, middle, and upper classes. Not just giving the 1% more money.

How do you figure that increasing the taxes of middle class people by making them pay for other peoples legally taken out loans is going to help them?

Where are you seeing that middle class taxes would increase as a result of debt forgiveness?

A trillion dollars of real money was loaned out by real institutions. Do you believe they are simply going to shrug their shoulders and say “meh” if Biden took his mighty pen and said screw you guys, you’re not getting anything back? They would sue, and win and then SOMEBODY, is going to pay the money back. Biden AKA the federal government is who that would be and where does the federal government get money from?

This student loan fiasco is directly a result of Barack Obama. Every time the federal government inserts itself into something, the cost of that something skyrockets because everyone knows the federal government doesn’t default on debts, no matter how high the price is jacked up.

Once again, the taxpayers are on the hook for short sighted Lib policies.

It’s very simple- if a person takes out a loan, that person takes the obligation to pay it back.

How is it debt relief when the government ---- we, the people own the student debt (thanks Obama) that we have to pay back?

1,75 trillion in student loans is more than double the amount of our nation’s credit card debt that we also have to pay back.

Call it distribution of wealth. The left loves that. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

I would be all for the loans and interest rate should be tied to the field you want to study, and your grades. To many college degrees lead to employment at Burger King. A kid who wants to follow into something difficult like stem or medical should get more help at better rates than someone who wants an art or political science degree.

Bet you wouldn’t think that if you loaned a ■■■■ ton of your personal money to someone and they blew you off on repayment.

Or forced you to provide housing to a person who refuses to pay rent because the govt says he doesnt have to and you cant evict.
