The financial and banking industries are rapidly preparing for Rep. Maxine Waters ascendance on the House Financial Committee; admitting they’re not entirely sure of her agenda or “what she will be thinking” when she becomes Chairwoman.

An outspoken critic of President Trump, Waters made national headlines weeks ago when she declared she would do to the banking community “what they did to us.”

“I don’t know what Chairwoman Waters will be thinking,” Richard Hunt, president of the banking industry trade group the Consumer Bankers Association, told Fox News. “We’re prepared to defend the good work that we’re doing but we’re also willing to work with Chairwoman Waters to make sure we get smart, well-balanced policy.”

“I just don’t know who is going to be in her crosshairs,” Hunt added. “Is it going to first be [Treasury Secretary Steve] Mnuchin and Trump or is it going to be the banks?”

How can anyone make her in charge of something so important? She is going to waste a lot of time and money looking into President Trump because she hates him. She could care less about anything else. If it was Clinton in the White House she would care.
