There still are a large number of Democrats outside the beltway who reject communism and socialism and may actually support Bloomberg as a result of his comments.

Bloomberg is spending enormous amounts of money and his poll numbers are rising rapidly.
For comparison, the Trump campaign spent only $385 million by late October 2016. Bloomberg is shooting past that figure before his first primary election.

Yeah, apart from an ad where Michael Douglas endorsed him I haven’t heard of anyone speak about him in positive terms.
That is not what the polls are saying. For example Bloomberg is tied for the lead in the North Carolina according to one poll, and Biden is collapsing. Bloomberg wasn’t even on the radar a week ago.

Clinton outspent Trump by a 2 to 1 margin in 2016, so money is not everything.
I heard a Bloomberg commercial on the radio in Pennsylvania even though the primary is not for almost two months. It is clear he is dumping huge sums into his campaign.

I would love to see more knockdown drag-out fights between Democrats. It’s very entertaining and debate ratings are way up.
Man of whom he’s gong to have problems with over his stop and frisk policies and his nanny state food/beverage regulations.
He blew something like 60 million buying legislative seats in the last election as well.
