Well, I am more than glad for these fellows to get their voting rights back! Having served their time, it seemed a bit unfair that the GOP legislators in Florida decided to tack on this addendum about fines. Remember, this was voted on by the public and they wanted these rights restored.

It makes sense for those more fortunate to assist these chaps, and it wasn’t just Bloomberg, there were quite a few people helping out. Which is a good thing! Now they are free and clear to exercise their rights and vote as full citizens again!

They upheld that fines are a part of your sentence and you haven’t served your sentence until your fine are paid.

You might be confused here, Bloomberg didn’t seek to have the Judge’s ruling overturned, he complied with it and paid the fines the judges upheld.
