Of the two events - police shooting a man in the back, and a store being looted - I choose to be more outraged by the first.
Not all “wrongs” are equally wrong.

I’m more outraged by the latter.
What do business owners trying to make a living have to do with this?
Not bad advice in a household.
I doubt you or I sharing it to a riot with a megaphone would settle everything down though.
Ok.
I guess you are free to value property over human life.
But we’re just going to have to disagree about that. Not much else to say.

They don’t have anything at all to do with this.
So burn down a small business that had nothing to do with it? Yeah that really hurts the police.
I don’t condone it, but I can understand lighting a police station on fire.
Burning down some random guy’s business? In what world is that even remotely justified or understandable?
At least an argument can be made that the local police precinct is a somewhat legitimate target in a conflict.
But this? This is completely unjustifiable.

Nope. And it works for the Burn, Loot, Murder folks as well.
Lock them up and take the off of the streets.
You guys are fixated on “justification”.
That’s entirely irrelevant.

I do value what people have worked for. I don’t value what people rob from others and quite frankly, if that’s the route they want to go they need to be prepared to pay for it with their lives.
Hope the risk is worth the reward
Sounds so easy. So why didn’t that happen the last few nights in Kenosha with curfew, or anywhere else this summer that had unrest and curfew?
In all honesty, I need more information in this case.
Yes, shooting a man in the back is bad on its face. And it makes me cringe just thinking about it and when I watched the video. But there are times when it is justifiable.
In this case, I’m not sure yet. I need more evidence to make a judgement call. I’ve been burned one too many times in these cases by getting outraged and then come to find out that the true story was much more complex than it seemed.
So I’ll admit that I am more outraged by the immediate onset of looting and arson. Because that is on its face completely unjustifiable and not even understandable.
Go burn the police station. Go trash police cruisers. Even though it’s not justifiable at least it makes ■■■■■■■ sense.

Odd. I would think you don’t want cops reigning.
“Hey! This riot doesn’t make sense!”

Absolutely not. There is zero justification for that unless you believe in lynch mob mentality.

Yes. Why not answer instead of emoji?
Riots are not rational.
Justification is irrelevant. The moral high ground is irrelevant.
Even if you convinced every poster on this message board that rioting is unjustified, the riots would continue.

Let me know when defund the police and the National Guard has been called in.
