And IMO your opinion is correct. Without hostages in the equation, political resistance by some Israelis to prosecute the military operations as they should be conducted, will be softened. Hamas took those hostages for a very good reason … to limit the options of Netanyahu and the IDF.

Looks like the IDF will be looking to finish what it started.
