completely different. 25pct inc in prices is more impactful than slight increase in unemp.
how high did inflation go during biden?

Slight increase. Unemployment ticks up usually in increments of .1. 1.5 isn’t slight. What it is however is abuse of numbers to attack the Trump admin even though there is probably no actual explanation for the cause.
But the hand waving is epic
when it drops 1.5 % what do you and nyt call it?
right.
A 1.5 drop in unemployment would ahuge drop imo. 5.2 to3.7 is significantl
we’ll see what’s said
no bias here huh?
“I think the speed at which things have changed, in such a dramatic fashion, is out of the ordinary,” said Valerie Wilson, who directs the program on race, ethnicity and the economy at the Economic Policy Institute, a left-leaning think tank.”
Anybody believe if the rate goes back to 6% in the next four months, the NYTs will have an article “unemployment among blacks collapses by 20% in four months?
exactly. thank god someone else sees this
Correct they won’t because it’s an attack on the Trump admin. But the rate did actually go up.
It’s funny how people approach changes in numbers depending on who is President
from op
“The federal backlash against diversity, equity and inclusion practices may be making it more difficult for Black workers to get hired in the private sector, too. “
good! blacks shouldnt be hired just because they are black. but that is surely going to effect black employment figures.
Correct blaming DEI for it is preposterous and most likely baseless
you dont agree with nyt then? why “baseless”?
what would be the real reason?
One would probably need to make a close examination of the demographics of the employees hired to fill the positions in the DEI departments that were all the fade, but now being eliminated. Might be one of those famous disproportionate impact things, both when the departments were created, and now when they are being eliminated.
I don’t know. I don’t believe for a second that it is dei
Ok, if you say so.
6 to 7.5 is hardly a “surge”
its a massive surge during the last 4 months.
to deny that is to deny reality.
Allan
I don’t believe for a second that it is dei
okay if its not dei, than what is it.
jobs dont disappear like this without a reason.
Allan
DEI requires hiring. Its elimination doesn’t requiring firing
I don’t know the reason
There’s plenty of picker jobs available!
Inconvenient post.
