Of course it does.
What do you think is the source of privilege?
Native Americans have been screwed over royally for a long time.

Provide evidence that this is “rare”.
Include metrics, please.
Rare. Lol. Happens all the time.
Not so for sentences that are short.
“On the other hand, if the conviction is for a relatively minor crime or the sentence is short, trial courts are more likely to allow bail. Many jurisdictions have determined that bail should be available if a defendant’s jail sentence is shorter than the amount of time it will likely take to resolve the appeal (oftentimes a year or more). Otherwise, a defendant could win an appeal after having already served an entire jail or prison sentence.“

Yes, the quality of the education is key. I was making the point that education and intelligence are not the same thing. People often assume that because someone has a college degree, or attended the well regarded school, that the person is intelligent. When the purpose of an education is to acquire “accurate, useful” information (knowledge), not to bestow intelligence, judgement, or maturity. We have all seen plenty of examples of schools, at all levels, indoctrinating in dogma, rather then instilling factual information. And we have all seen that so called well educated person who is dumber than a box of rocks.

Easy solution. Why wont anyone take on the Teachers Unions? Hold teachers to a standard,. Kids do poorly, let them go.
There is not a doubt in my mind, that if parents in the community were teaching the kids in k-5 they would be doing better than they are now.

Have they? Or did they earn it?

Is Jussie Smollet a “smart person”?

Interesting question. He appears to be of at least average intelligence, with the sound grasp of language required for dramatic performance. I question his judgement and emotional maturity more than I would his education and intelligence.

High School diploma in New Jersey. I wouldn’t consider the ability to parrot language a sign of intelligence. Many actors are imbeciles.
Emotional maturity is interesting, given his age.
So when you described in your post the iq of a person with two parents rather than one parent means that the affect is limited a bit or did i totally misread that

Wrong.
The source of privilege is wealth.
Earn it? Lol.
Interlopers brought disease and wiped out a significant part of the Native American population.
They certain didn’t “earn” that.

There is much wrong with teachers and teaching.
Teachers need to be better prepared, better compensated and more respected. A Masters should be required. Perhaps the profession of teaching should require licensing with a requirement for continuing education as other professions now require. Certification as currently required in most locations clearly isn’t enough.
I wouldn’t apply this to home schooling.
But I was thinking more about opportunities for college education. Only those with privilege benefit from legacy admissions and wealth which opens doors others can’t.
