Really? I wish every person of color that has EVER crossed my path could testify for/against me right now. That day will come one day and I can truthfully say, I’m not bothered. I have nothing but love in my heart for anyone/everyone. There are those with some hate in their heart that merely see their own reflection. They point fingers at those they have absolutely no idea of what the actual truth is/isn’t about their accusation.

I you think you are owed, its because you are still a slave to your past. Get over it. Lots of us had ancestors who were enslaved. You don’t see us harping about wanting pay back.

Most whites I think (myself included) just don’t give a krap about being called honkey or cracker or whatever, it just doesn’t offend all that much. Like water off a duck’s back, it’s like…whatever man, you can’t hurt me with those words. Without that history of once being brutally oppressed behind it, I don’t think there can be a racial slur against whites with the same kind of sting as the n-word. Maybe it’s a part of white privilege or maybe it’s as simple as my previous sentence, or both, but I think it’s a truism of our society as a whole. That’s why they are not censored anywhere, cuz we don’t give a krap.

This is an excellent post and I totally agree. If there’s such a thing as “white privilege”, that’d be it.
