This one has nothing to do with race.

What a weird gripe.

No argument here Guv.

Yeah
learn to chainsaw a tree or field dress a moose. Buy a real grill
not an electric George Forman grill. Fry food in grease. .not an air fryer.

Real men of the world uniteÂĄ!!!ÂĄ

According to President Obama, this is why.

"children who grow up without a father are five times more likely to live in poverty and commit crime; nine times more likely to drop out of school."

If two people do or don’t marry and have a child, I don’t care. If they’re both meeting their parenting responsibilities, more power to ‘em.

Looks like the writer of this article feels the same:

Yeah
learn to play call of duty instead of answering the call of duty
or learn to quit everytime a boss tells them to do something. Shirk the responsibility to be the physical and spiritual leader of their household to play fantasy leagues.

Happy wife; Happy life!

Completely misses the point.

I have chain sawed a tree. But in my defense, the tree needed killin. I have never field dressed a moose, but I wouldn’t mind undressing a moose. Does that count?

What are they now?

Transitioning?

Or, more likely, getting old and not growing up?

There are plenty of women who not only think they’re can do parenting without a man—at least with divorced and deceased dads, you know who & have an idea where he is—they come right out and say they can just make a baby through an anonymous donor in a sperm bank. They don’t even need to know WHO he is.

Trends like the acceptance of unwed motherhood, feminism and assisted reproduction haven’t helped either sex to become responsible adults.

The point of the thread is
,?

Who has actually brought a link to the table showing this 70% fatherless black children information?

More children are being born out of wedlock, but that alone doesn’t mean the father has nothing to do with his offspring.

Oh yes it does. It may not be politically correct to say, but it most certainly does. When dad has his name on a marriage certificate and his name on the birth certificate, that shows commitment.

When there is a marriage ceremony, there is a pledge that is taking place in front of the community, that says I am committed to you. You are making the same pledge that you are committed to me. When baby daddy lives in the house, with no marriage, there is no commitment. He can stay just until something better comes along. The child grows up with the same feelings. Dad isn’t committed to me. He is here just until something better comes along. If that something better doesnt work out, maybe he will come back.

Perfectly logical
lol

I do both. Wife plays along. She’s won the last two years
lol

Happy Wife?

I really think people miss that. Of course there are exceptions but honestly, putting your name on a marriage license has a mental impact on not only you but your spouse and kids. It’s one of the reasons why I don’t care for gay marriage but ultimately, I think prohibiting it isn’t really productive for society. I object to it for religious reasons but as a Constitutional argument, I don’t have a leg to stand on.

The middle ground is a simple acknowledgement of governmental and racialized forces designed to destroy the black community. From slavery, to the black codes, to Jim Crow, to voter discrimination, redlining and block busting, the war on drugs/mass incarceration, and yes
 police brutality.

A lot of the posters on here and in America in general don’t want to acknowledge what’s happened
WHY we continue to find ourselves in these predicaments over and over and over again. The uprising over George Floyd’s death has spilled across the globe. I’ve seen Europeans (both black and white) addressing their own racialized history, tearing down statues, demanding justice. The sentiment extends sooooo far beyond the Atlantic/Pacific or any arbitrary borders
Bbbbut black fathers, the black family, etc. Each rebuttal brings us full circle and they still don’t get it. Don’t preach to me if you’re not going to preach to them.

Actually different states fund their schools by different mechanisms.

I did and it’s 77%.

When the parents are not married and the dad isn’t even named on the BC the odds of them being actively involved in the lives of their kids hit rock bottom.

She seems to believe that working a legitimate job is morally equivalent to being a drug trafficking criminal.
