The same goes with the seriousness of the charges: we must agree that their charges are serious if we are to be heard at all but ours? “Vast right wing conspiracy”. “Russia! Russia! Russia!” generated endless outrage among those who knew it was fake but Biden bragging before cameras about the scope of the then coming voter fraud is a nothingsauce.

That doesn’t mean anyone is getting silenced. This kind of conspiracy talk DOMINATES online discourse. Just look at the most shared articles on Facebook. They are all right wing pieces. That isn’t being silenced. Right wing discussion and ideas thrive online, but it doesn’t make them any less problematic.

Honest and accurate…Nope. The 24 hour news cycle has ruined that, on both sides of the spectrum. Too much of our media has been taken over by agenda and narrative.
There in lies the problem. You couple that reality with a decidedly left leaning set of entities like Facebook, Twitter, Google, and the other big tech companies and one side of that set of narratives gets significantly more air time than the other, and not necessarily honest air time. I have a set of examples I post far too much probably starting with the now debunked Russia Collusion hoax that we heard daily the entire Trump presidency. The primary promoters of that lie are all still working. CNN got it’s ass sued over the lies they told about the Covington Catholic kids, so did other media outlets who’ve been ordered to pay up…They didn’t learn their lesson they told the same set of lies about Kyle Rittenhouse.
Big Tech squelched information in the final month of the last presidential campaign not because it was accurate or not, but because it was damaging to their preferred candidate, Mr. Biden. I posted the link earlier about the Hunter Biden laptop story. I wonder, how would Mr. Trump have been treated had he run a campaign calling a lid almost every early afternoon and rarely actually interacting with potential voters.
Look I’m fine with picking and choosing my media. I spend more time with Fox than maybe I should, you know they do a far better job presenting both sides of the story than certainly CNN and MessNBC and even the NY Times and IMHO the big networks. Had it not been for Fox and Bill Melugin the other networks would have simply ignored that Haitian Homeless camp, (You remember that one right, you told me the planes were on the way and those people would all be flown home in just a couple of days, that didn’t happen). Fox covering that story forced the other networks to pay attention. If we’d listened to the other networks those border patrol agents might have all been thrown in jail for whipping migrants, something they did not do. The other networks would have happily convicted an innocent man named Kyle Rittenhouse.
Is Fox perfect, no…But I feel way more informed watching them and paying attention to my local news than in paying attention to known liars like the folks who tried to convict Bret Kavanaugh of rape on TV and lost the lawsuit to a teenager in the Covington Catholic story, big tech and most of the media are just shills for an agenda at this point.
Yeah - We have a free press, but no we don’t have a terribly honest media at this point.

The grand conspiracy hoax of all time was the Hillary/DNC generated dossier. Discussion about the Hunter laptop was banned on major online media as an unproven conspiracy…when in fact it was reality. Outrageous speculation, none of it supported, raged for years in the same media completely unchecked or questioned over the dossier.
No one cares about accusations about right wing conspiracy theories.
