Good deal. You don’t need proof for impeachment, just a strong feeling he did something. And besides, I keep being told that impeachment is political, not legal.

That’s why there is a federal minimum wage. Duh.

Allan

Which is stupid due to the simple fact that cost of living is variable.

So you’re saying the minimum wage should be the same in nj as it is in nc?

That’s exactly what Biden is pressing for. I am all for it.

Allan

It would be pointless for a cashier to sit down as they are constantly moving to get items.

I have no idea. If it does then how does that trickle down?

What gave you that idea? But yeah. What does that have to do with minimum wage? I make roughly 65k a year.

In Sandy Berger’s pants? Oh sorry. Wrong thread. :stuck_out_tongue:

The Alliance isn’t happy.

“$2,000 means $2,000. $2,000 does not mean $1,400.”

She must have majored in economics.

He’s going to have to walk that tightrope.

IMO, I think Biden is fairly moderate. He’s an old school democrat. But the pressure he will receive from the young bloods will be intense.

If he was 20 years younger, maybe he could control them.

Even though the COL in New Jersey is about ten times what it is here in Mississippi?

He won’t feel it.

Maybe. But he needs the young bloods. They will become the majority of the party one day.

He has no idea what is happening.

I guess I should be grateful Biden knows that $600 plus $1400 equals $2000.

AOC still hasn’t learned how govt math works and a quid pro quo by Biden for a $2000 check in exchange for votes never really meant $2000 checks.

Wage inflation causing real inflation. Yup I agree.

Now, when everything inflates, what do you suppose the chances are of them raising the tax brackets to compensate?

My guess: slim to non.

It’s more than silly that american cashiers don’t even have the option to use their discretion to sit down.

So how many years is it going to take to over Double the minimum wage? You know 7.25 an hour now? And what happens to the person who was hired at 8 an hour a decade ago and has worked their ass off and got raises and promotions and is now making 15 an hour? Will their wage double as well?

I’ve seen no evidence of that.
