Assuming data is accurate. if your energy needs is mainly dependent on wind turbines, and you chose not to maintain, improve or invest in its operations, you can’t blame the turbines. Blame the administration.

It’s like being a taxi driver having a new car. Then refusing to change oil, putting air in tire or topping of fluids. Then blame the car when it breaks down.

that is not my interpretation. mine is the wind failed, due to it’s many weaknesses, then gas picked up the slack, till it failed, because so much focus was put on precious green wind

The failure was in generation across the board due to Texas’ failure to winterize.

And as I said before, I am okay with cutting them some slack due to the freak nature of the storm. They need to learn from this though.

Anticipated peak winter demand: 57,699 MW
That’s 6.5%, rounded up to 7%. Even better, ERCOT forecasted only using 928 MW of wind power during the winter.

The argument is 16,000 MW of “offline” winter wind turbine power (which is four times more than what they were relying on it to contribute) is at fault? While the 30,0000 MW lost primarily from natural gas wasn’t the issue? Hilarious.

I am quite skeptical of that article and graph. A simple Google search shows scores and scores of articles (including from local Texas newspapers) that say the opposite

I think somebody created false news, and somebody else brought it here: not for the truth, but for the continuance of the partisan narrative.
