Former Vice President and Democratic frontrunner Joe Biden surprised progressives across the country Thursday; saying the US has an “obligation” to provide healthcare to everyone in the United States -including illegal immigrants.

“Do you think that undocumented immigrants who are in this country should get federal benefits like Medicare and Medicaid?” asked one reporter.
“Look, I think that anyone who is in the situation where they’re in need of healthcare -regardless of whether they’re documented or undocumented- we have an obligation to see that they’re cared for,” said Biden.
“The biggest thing we’ve got to do is tone down the rhetoric. We know why it’s happening, it’s to create fear and concern,” he added.
