better then separating them by force and then losing them

nobody dumped any kids at the side of any road.

we know where the kids are, we don’t know where the parents disappeared to

no children have been lost.

Stop showing that misleading chart. There was a surge in 2019. That is where your chart ends. In June of 2019, Trump threatened Mexico with huge tariffs if they did not block illegals from entering the US through Mexico. Mexico complied and the border was largely controlled until after Biden’s election. As soon as he took office, the Biden surge began.
I have documented all of this in detail several times in this forum.

They also can’t disappear them into some bureaucracy.

Well, I guess they can, but lawsuits are the predictable result

Are we gonna have a new set of dreamers now?

We kept the kids and deported the parents…

Who were here illegally…

Which has no bearing on separating them, losing track of the families, deporting the parents…

They should have all been sent packing

Doesn’t matter… still under the care of the US Government.

The parents could get those kids any time they wanted to. Most are likely hiding in the interior and forgot all about the kids. If they were actually deported, all they have to do is write a letter. I would have no objection to paying a few thousand to have them reunited. What kind of parent just forgets about their kid?

Stellar logic, let’s separate them and then count on those we are deporting to claim them back…and if not well we are stuck holding the bag

“The Office of the Inspector General conducted a review of the DOJ’s zero tolerance policy and found that under former attorney general Jeff Sessions, the agency “failed to effectively prepare for, or manage, the implementation of the zero tolerance policy.”

What kind of parent DOESN’T try to claim them or find them?

Dunno, they could just be bad parents among other possible scenarios the point is we have a bunch of kids we separated from their families with no good plan to reunite them…and the taxpayers will end up footing the bill for their care

We would have anyway.

Bad parents? So now they are offered a sweet million they suddenly feel the need to find their kids for a payout?

Awesome

You think this is a find your kid we give you 450k?

I see the problem now, no what’s happening is the folks that reunited are suing for damages on this poorly implemented and botched policy.

“The ACLU is still battling its lawsuit with the Biden administration and according to WSJ, not all the families it’s representing will be eligible for a potential financial settlement.”

No, that’s not what I think.

I think it is stupid however to pay them off.

I think people will grow tired of the ■■■■ you little people of America, lower your expectations, pay more for everything you buy, how dare you try to make more than $10,000 and not let the government see everything you do financially because we KNOW you are not paying the government enough in tax revenue. We have illegals to support damn it!! We have ridiculous programs we must fund !! Oh and get the jibby jab or again, ■■■■ you. No job, no groceries, no healthcare.

We are uniters!!

The chart not only shows the huge surge in 2019 (which apparently wasn’t Trumps fault even though 2021 is Bidens fault) but also shows the massive drop in apprehensions starting with Bush but accelerating with Obama. Somehow I rarely see Obama getting credit for that.

Then its kind of tailed off and stayed about the same barring some surges in 2019 and 21.

All good and well, but we forcibly separated families and now they are suing for damages.

Maybe if the Trump admin had not “ failed to effectively prepare for, or manage, the implementation of the zero tolerance policy.”

We wouldn’t be in custody of immigrant kids and wouldn’t be getting sued for damages

Wonder how much the ACLU stands to make here.

By the way y’all know this horrible family separation policy started with Obama right?
