Y’all support unions? Higher minimum wage? Paid family leave?

What does all that have to do with being a productive worker?

You do know that being a worker does not limit you to being a laborer making an hourly wage, don’t you?

Pay doesn’t align with productivity?

And a stupid vote buying scheme, it alienates more voters than it attracts.

Still haven’t read the data I provided have you. Typical

No, pay is a market, if an employer can find a worker to do it for less, he will. Has zero to do with productivity.

None of those define working class

Those are things that help the working class, right?

But they do appeal to the working class. And the right is hostile to all of them.

Meanwhile, white collar workers enjoy these things by dint of higher pay, or just as a straight benefit.

Which means the right, this newfound champion of the working class, may well find itself in the uncomfortable position of justifying why the working class must settle for less.

Or, more intriguing: in an ‘arms race’ with the left as to which is actually the better champion.

Ideally, but not always. Again, what does that have to do with my statement?

Wow, so totally wrong. It’s this admin that is planning to spike unemployment to keep wages down. 6.5% for two years is the current plan.

Sure. What’s your point?

Sure.

So what? How does that relate to the thread topic?

Read the link and see which party those classes you mentioned voted for.

People still have to live and have some quality of life. Nothing wrong in saving for retirement but its all a balance.

Heck I can go one better than seeing a movie or eating out. Save the money and then blow it on a great vacation. Dont forget to upgrade your phone so you can take fantastic photos and video of your trip and then cast it to your “flat screen tv”.

Btw I use the term “flat screen tv” because we are told time and time sgain people struggle financially because they buy “flat screen TVs”. LOL has anyone tried recently to buy a TV that is not flat screen.

Thanks for making my point.

Absolutely. I want to live life now not when I am old. Its all a balance. Who wants to be the richest man in the graveyard?

The structure of your mortgage payments will be very predictable and easier to manage than the student loans were.

Over 2,000 posts and people STILL can’t shake their own beliefs that this crisis was caused because college kids were stupid and/or didn’t know how to manage money.

The programming is so strong, it cannot be broken.
